fifteen days have passed since the first news of the investigation of the Anti-Mafia Investigative Directorate sulle infiltrazioni della ‘ndrangheta nel tessuto imprenditoriale e politico della nostra città.
14 comma 5 dello Statuto del Comune di Pavia (“ The Council, by an absolute majority of its members, can set up internal committees of inquiry on the activities of government, defining their powers and setting the limit for the completion of the investigation ) giving the Council Committee of the Anti-mafia powers of internal administrative investigation, aimed at confirming that none of the projects on time of the alleged crime and the constraints that we all learned from shocking interception in the press, has been successful. The Committee's activities would reassure the community Pavia, Mayor in the lead, which the council has remained free from cancer of the underworld mafia.
The continued delay in providing a response to this request, like others, is not a good sign that the majority ruled that the City is giving to the city, this indecision, highlighted today by press reports that they see Mayor hesitant and in need of advice of the prefect and other authorities that there is no center with legitimate prerogatives and autonomous control of the City Council the administrative activity, may be interpreted as a sign of weakness and permeability of democratic institutions against the underworld mafia, unfortunately always present.
We urge the Mayor and his urgency to at least a majority of small but significant signal to the city pointing out that the institutions are not afraid to look into it and to clean up if it were needed.
addition to this minimum signal will continue to ask the mayor to clear the City Council and the boards of companies and institutions connected to the City Council and appointed by him, and given the findings of the investigation and its free and legal assessments, confirm or replace the members of his team, whether futuro coinvolgimento in questa o in altre inchieste giudiziarie di esponenti politici della sua Giunta e della sua maggioranza, ai quali il Sindaco ha riconfermato fiducia incondizionata, genererebbero nei cittadini pavesi più di un dubbio.
