PER LA VITA DI SAKINEH The councilors of the Democratic Party's side of Pavia Sakineh Ashtiani-Mohammadi, the Iranian woman aged 43, who risk death by stoning for adultery . The PD citizen, along with other parties and movements, has launched an initiative to be implemented at Pavia: post the picture on the front of the Palace Sakineh Mezzabarba until it is safe. It 'a duty of all local administrators to do everything possible to save Sakineh and raise awareness of Italian households. Ours is a call for peace and freedom. There are events and moments in which those with public responsibility, at whatever level, must be an example and represent their community's story is one of those Sakineh. Sakineh's case is not one of those problems that every day have to deal with mayors, councilors and advisers, but it's one of those cases where the responsibility of being the reference point of a town, meets the individual conscience.
The council of the PD group also asks that an appeal for the life of Sakineh be read at the beginning of any initiative that this year's festival of knowledge develops the theme "Dialogue on Freedom" and that its image in campsites every street and square where the events will take place at the festival.
